30 Million Pakistani mobile phone users changed their networks in the last 6 years. These figures were issued by PTA. According to PTA, there are about 160 million mobile phone users in Pakistan. Large numbers of customers are not satisfied with the services of their mobile phone network and they are changing their mobile phone networks in search of quality services. 30000000 mobile phone users have shifted from their original network to other networks in six years only it means that about five million customers are shifting from one network to other in a year.
According to report issued by PTA 1706192 mobile phone users changed their network in 2009. 7222900 customers rejected their old network in 2010. 8699119 people migrated to other networks in 2011. 5717942 Pakistani transferred from one network to other in 2012. 3335282 mobile phone users shifted to other networks in 2013. While in first four months of 2014 1687753 people have changed their networks.

According to media report 8.7million people joined the Mobilink network and 9.6 million people left Mobilink. 5.3 million people shifted to Telenor network and 4.3 million people said good bye to Telenor. 6.3 million people liked Zong and 4.2 million customers rejected the Zong. 1.2 million customers preferred Warid for its services and 2.4 Warid customers migrated to other networks. Amazingly Ufone’s out going and incoming customers were equal i.e 6.6 millions.

Now By analyzing these statistics we can draw following results.
1-Largest number of customers joined Mobilink and the largest number of customers also left Mobilink.
2-Zong’s outgoing customers were less than its incoming customers. Zong got 1.9 million new customers.
3-Ufone succeeded to maintain its position at a fix point.
4-Warid lost double customers as compare to its new customers.
5-Mobilink lost 9 lac customers.
6-Over all loss of Telenor was 1 million.
PTA has made a rule that now each individual can buy just 5 sim by his name. So the trend of changing the mobile phone network is increasing day by day.
