Dars-e-Nizami is the oldest course for those students who want to become Islamic scholar. There was a time when this course contained all the necessary scientific subjects of past, but unfortunately now its curriculum as far as scientific subjects are concerned has become out dated. Still its the only course through which you can become a authentic Islamic scholar. Duration of Dars-e-Nizami course is 8 years. Some Islamic institutes offer 4 years condensed course for graduate students. Majority of Dars-e-Nizami books are available on internet. Mulla Nizam Uddin from the Farnghi Mahall family was the founder of Dars-e-Nizami . Both rational and traditional textual books are included in its syllabus. Now a days emphasis is given more on traditional textual subjects like Tafseer, hadith, Holy Quran, Tajweed, Aqeedah, Fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence) and Arabic language and literature. Fortunately now some Islamic madaris have realized the importance of rational and modern subjects and they have added the Mathematics, Science and IT in their syllabus of Dars-e-Nizami. Its a very positive development as it will open new employment opportunities for Dars-e-Nizami students. Still there is room for more reforms both from government side and association of madaris to elevate the status of Dars-e-Nizami.
