How To Prepare Medical College Admission Test For Admission in BDS & MBBS
We are receiving lot of queries that how to prepare MCAT entry test. Many students are asking “Is UHS syllabus is enough for getting through the MCAT entry test or they should prepare the whole syllabus”. We shall try to answer such queries in this article.
University of Health Sciences announces MCAT syllabus every year to guide the students. Unless UHS does not announce the syllabus students should get idea about the expected syllabus from the last year syllabus as basic structure of syllabus remains the same only minor changes are made every year except English part of syllabus. After the announcement of UHS syllabus you must prepare the syllabus first. If you feel difficulty in preparing the UHS syllabus then you must stick to the UHS syllabus only.
Those students who prepare the syllabus in short time and they have good preparation they should prepare the remaining topics too. We are advising this due to two main reason. First is that UHS has not mentioned any where that you must leave other topics. Secondly, There are many questions and topics in science subject which has deep connection with some other questions and topics. There are chances that a question which is not included in syllabus may be asked in MCAT entry test. So to avoid any problem it would be better for you to revise the topics other than UHS syllabus at least once. As the MCAT entry test is a MCQ type test so you don’t need to memorize each and every topic. Just revise the objective questions and main concepts. It would be more than enough.
ETEA don’t announce any syllabus for MCAT entry test. Same is the case with other provinces, federal and army medical college. So the students who will appear in MCAT entry test from a province other than Punjab should prepare the whole books. Are you thing that how to prepare the whole books for medical colleges admission test. In fact medical college admission test is far easier than F.Sc exam as you will have to attempt just MCQ type questions but it is easier for those who have good understanding of basic concepts of science subjects. If your concepts are not clear then the only solution is to remember by heart the objective questions. But it is quite risky as you will not be able to guess the right question, in case of minor change in the given statement. So it would be better for you to clear your concepts first then prepare the objective questions. Because memorizing become easier after understanding the topic. Proper understanding even helps us in intelligent and calculating guessing. So avoid cramming and buffing for getting good marks in MCAT entry test.
We have mentioned earlier in our many other articles that how to prepare the objective questions so we shall not repeat that method again to avoid repetition. Remember that there is no any short cut for success, you will have to perform well for getting admission in MBBS or BDS. If somebody has the domicile of any other province then too he.she must not be worried as the concepts of science are universal. You will find minor changes in the syllabus of different provinces. We have written number of other articles for your guidance too list of such guiding articles has been given below this post. You must read these articles too for proper guidance.
