OET stands for Occupational English Test. OET test is a healthcare related English language exam. This OET test is for those medical professionals who want to practice and get themselves register in any English speaking country. Through this test the all languages skills including writing, listening, speaking and reading are assessed. Focus is given on healthcare related communication skills. This OET test is recommended for both medical students and professionals who are seeking jobs abroad. You may appear in this exam in more than 40 countries. This OET test is recommended following 12 healthcare professionals;

Occupational English Test (OET) 2022 in Pakistan, Registration, Format, Rules & Regulations

 

Occupational English test is recognized by medical councils, universities and hospitals of Australia, Dubai, Ireland, Namibia, New Zealand, Singapore, United Kingdom, Ukraine and many other countries. Test is conducted one to two times in each month. Now Occupational English test center has started working in Pakistan also. Its test center is located in Islamabad. Result is announced almost in a month or so.

 

Registration Procedure For Occupational English Test (OET)
For registration you need credit card or payment details, a digital passport photo and identification document. You may register yourself for OET test by visiting https://www.occupationalenglishtest.org/apply/. Valid email ID is required for online registration. At present fee is $587 AUD. Registration is opened for the upcoming three dates at a time. Your name DOB and identity number must match your provided ID document, otherwise you will not be allowed to sit in the Occupational English test. Identification documents should be original, valid and must have photo. Recent colored photo with white background should be of passport size in .jpg or .png format. Its maximum size should be 2 MB. Photograph should be without shadows, red eye and any special expression.

 

Occupational English test is also acceptable for immigration specially for Australian immigration. Result will be sent to your given email address with separate score for all language skills. Prof Tim McNamara designed this exam in 1980s.

 

Format of Occupational English Test (OET)
Duration of listening part will be 45 minutes. Reading part will be of 1 hour. For writing part you will be given approximately 45 mins. Speaking section’s duration will be 20 minutes. You will get numerical score from 0-500. For grade you will have to get more than 450 score.
