Pakistani people were using Vimeo.com, Tune.pk and dailymotion.com.pk as alternative of youtube. But now a new website has been launched for video sharing in Pakistan. Youtubes.pk has been launched about two weeks ago by some unknown company. But now it is becoming popular among youth. Youtubes.pk has large collection of video on different topics. Many Islamic video are also available here. Visitors of youtubes.pk have commented that this video sharing site is very much similar to real youtube and has all that data which is available on Google’s youtube. Some webmasters are claiming that Google’s youtube data is being used by this website but majority has opposite view. What ever is the reality the site has uploaded some very useful content. Website takes strong action against the Anti-Islamic videos. Any one can report the administration about such videos. Administration is committed to remove any anti Islam data immediately. Website claims that now Pakistan has launched its own You Tube where anyone can access youtube’s video in Pakistan without any proxy and without any disturbing ads. We found this site very impressive as its focus is on education and entertainment but still there is need of lot of improvements to make it the best alternative of youtube. People are struggling to know the method of uploading videos. But hopefully soon the services will be improved. Name of the site can create some problems for administration in future. Hopefully in future PTA will also remove the ban from Google’s youtube Pakistan after adding filters on it to facilitate the students and researchers.
