Breaking News – List of Banned Books, Magazines Audio & Video CDs in Punjab
We have a breaking news for patriot and peace loving citizens of Pakistan. Punjab government has banned about 150 books, magazines, audio and video cds in the province. Nobody will be allowed to publish sale or purchase theses banned books, magazines, audio video cds. A detailed list with the names or writers and publishers have been issued in this regard. This decision has been taken with consultation of (Muttahida Ulema Board) United board of Muslim scholars.

No onward sale, purchase and publishing of these books will be a punishable act under the Criminal Procedure 99/A 8 ATA and 11/W ATA. ATA is abbreviation of anti terrorist act and bail under ATA is also very difficult. Culprits will be given punishment of 5 years imprisonment and fine. Punjab government has taken this step in good faith as these books, cds and magazines contain material related to sectarianism hatred and militancy. Strict directions have been given to district coordination officers and district police officers to check the sale, purchase and publishing of below given books and magazines.
