Every year thousands of students get admission in Universities of UK and also apply for immigration or citizenship. In 2011 made it compulsory for overseas students to clear the English language proficiency exam before applying for admission in colleges and universities of UK. It was necessary for students to get certificate of English language proficiency from authorized institutes. But recently a scandal has shaken the interior ministry of UK. According to interior minister more than 48000 immigrants have taken benefits because of flaws in student visa system of UK. These people got fake English language proficiency certificates and cheated the immigration department.

These people dodged the student visa system of UK very cleverly in a very systematic method due to which even those people succeeded in getting the citizenship of UK who don’t know even alphabet of English language. Examiners were also involved in this mega scandal who helped the students in solving the paper or allowed companions of test takers to sit in the test. Noe national crime agency is investigating this scandal and some involved elements have been arrested too.
English Language Certificate in 500 Pounds For UK Student Visa Seekers
As per an British newspaper an institute namely “Learn Pass Succeed” was involved in the scandal of selling the English language certificates. Interior ministry has assigned this institute to take tests of English language proficiency from foreigners. But this institute was selling the certificates in just 500 pounds. According to another report a foreign student earned 2000 pounds in a year in spite of the fact that foreign students are not allowed to work more than 20 hours in a week.
29000 certificates have been proved fake and bogus while 19000 certificates are also doubtful. It is expected that the real quantity of fake and bogus certificates will be more than estimations. Foreign students are the biggest source of income British educational institutes. 10 to 20 thousands pounds annual fee is received from overseas students. But now British government is going to take strict action against those institutes which granted the admissions to the students who had fake and bogus certificates. Such students will also have to face the criminal charges.
More than 350 students got admission in a university in Wales on fake English language certificate. Now this university is not allowed to grant admission to overseas students. Admission letter for overseas students issued by 57 private colleges have been cancelled. Admission of large number of students have also been cancelled. Investigation is under process and more arrests are possible. So students if you want to get student visa of UK avoid such fake and bogus certificates because such activity may be extremely harmful for your future career.
