Career Scope
Lot of dispensers in Pakistan are even practicing as medical doctors in remote areas. Some of them have also got DHMS diploma for adding prefix of doctor with their name and they are practicing as allopathic doctors. This practice is not recommended at all because you may earn lot of money even as a dispenser. A dispenser can get job in government sector hospitals. Dispensers can serve in private hospitals and clinics. They can visit homes for injecting injections and drips. Many dispensers are offering the same services through social media and olx. Lot of government jobs are announced every years for dispenser diploma holders. They can join Pak army, navy and PAF. They may get jobs in 1122. NGO sector also recruits qualified dispensers or compounders for their various welfare projects in health sector. Eligibility Criteria
For admission in dispenser course you should have clear matric exam with second division in science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) with 45% marks at least. Generally FSc second division students are given 20 extra marks. Hafiz e Quran students will get 10 extra numbers. Age of admission seekers should be less than 35 years. There is no lower age limit for admission in dispenser course. 2% quota is reserved for special students. Fee in govt institutes is about 2000 to 3000 rupees monthly. In private institute monthly fee of dispenser diploma is about 4000 rupees.

In Punjab dispenser diploma is offered at Mayo Hospital Lahore, General Hospital Lahore, Jinnah Hospital Lahore, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Services hospital, General Hospital Rawalpindi, Holy Family Hospital Rawalpindi, Allied Hospital Faisalabad, Nishtar Hospital Multan, Civil Hospital Multan, BV Hospital Bahawalpur, THQ Hospitals Murree & Gojra and all DHQ hospitals of Punjab. Lot of private paramedical institutes are also offering dispenser course. Public servants may also apply for admission through their respective departments.

 

 

Punjab medical faculty conducts the exam of dispenser course. Medium of instructions in this dispenser diploma is Urdu.
