CMA-Cost and Management Accountant

ICMAP (Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan) conducts the CMA course in Pakistan. ICMA Pakistan was established in 1951, and  got the statutory status through the Cost and Management Accountants Act, 1966 for the regulation of Cost and Management Accountancy studies in the country. Ministry of Finance, Government of Pakistan is the supreme regulatory authority of ICMAP. ICMAP is member of following international accounts associations.
1-International Federation of Accountants (IFAC),
2-The Confederation of Asian and Pacific Accountants (CAPA)
3-The South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA).
4-International Accounting Standards Board
Its head office is situated in Karachi and it has three offices in Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad. Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan is offering CMA degree at its 9 campuses and 5 private coaching centers all over country. ICMA Pakistan is also offering distant learning facility for local and overseas students and has set up examination centers in Dubai (UAE )and Saudi Arabia for overseas students.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERION FOR CMA
Candidate must have passed FA, FSC, ICOM, A level or any equivalent examination with minimum 45 percent marks. Candidates who are waiting for their part 2 result and have got 45 percent marks in part one or appeared in all papers of A level can apply for provisional admission in Semester-1. After the declaration of their result they can get regular registration. You can apply for admission in CMA any time throughout the year. ICMA Pakistan conducts the examination of CMA two times in a year. (February, August) Registration and admission  forms are available at all the centers of ICMA Pakistan and you can also down load the admission form from the website of ICMA Pakistan. Foreign students will send their registration and admission forms to any regional office. Regular students will have to attend at least sixty percent lectures for appearing in the examination. Distant learning students will have to submit at least sixty percent assignments for appearing in the examination.

Exemption Policy
If you have graduate or master level degree from any HEC recognized institute then you can apply for exemptions according to the schedule of exemption,recognized by HEC or professional accounting bodies. If your qualification or degrees do not lie under the schedule of exemption then exemption will be granted on case to case basis.
