Dolphin Squad Punjab Police Introduction & Helpline Numbers
Punjab government has introduced a new squad of Lahore police i.e Dolphin squad. This force has been introduced to curb the street crimes in the provincial capital of Punjab. Dolphin Squad will help the victims of street crime immediately. Dolphin Squad has been provided latest equipment with digital technology. Initially strength of this force is 700, but soon its will be increased up to 2500 hundred. 2414 constables and 73 sub inspectors will be recruited soon. Punjab government has allocated 1192 million rupees to equip this force with latest equipment for fighting with street criminals. 200 million rupees have also been released to construct the headquarter of Dolphin police.

Response time of dolphin police force will be much less than traditional emergency police. Dolphin Squad is a brain child of Chief Minister Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. Turkish government is assisting the Punjab police for training of Dolphin Squad. Hopefully this service will be launched soon in other cities of Punjab province.
