What is Eid Milad un Nabi?
Eid Milad un Nabi is also known as the Holy Prophet’s Birthday, is a Muslim holiday commemorating the birth of the Hazrat Muhammad (The ultimate and last Prophet of Almighty Allah). It is celebrated on the 12th day of Rabi’ al-awwal, the 3rd month of the Islamic calendar. Preparation for this grand festival starts from 1st day of Rabi’ al-awwal and celebration continue till the sighting of moon of next Islamic lunar month.

On this day ( 12th Rabi’ al-awwal), we celebrate the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the last and final prophet of Islam. Born in Mecca in 570 CE, Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW) was orphaned at a young age and raised by his grandfather and uncle. He later worked as a merchant and married a wealthy widow, Hazrat Khadijah (R.A).
