3-Famous icon of freedom Statue of liberty is located at Liberty Island Manhattan, New York City. Its height is 46 meters. It was a gift from people of France to people of USA on the 100th Independence day of America.
4-World trade center was inaugurated in 1973 and was destroyed on 11 September, 2001 by terrorist attack.
5- Empire State Building New York remained the tallest building of the world from 1931 to 1970. It has 102 stories and 1454 feet height with antenna.

 

6-United States of America joined the first world war in 1917 due to submarine warfare against it by Germany. After the sinking of the passenger ship the Lusitania USA decided to join allied forces against central powers.
7-America did not join League of Nations. President Woodrow Wilson presented the famous fourteen points for restoration of peace in the world.
8-On 7th December, 1941, the Japan launched a surprise air attack on the American naval base at Pearl Harbor. 18 American ships and 188 aircraft’s were destroyed in this sudden attack. 2,403 people were killed during this unexpected attack. This attack compelled the USA to declare war against Japan and Germany.
9-“Little Man” and “Fat Man” were the names of atomic bombs which were dropped on Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki on 6th and 9th August, 1945 respectively.
10-American declaration of independence was signed on 4th July, 1776, that’s why American people celebrate their independence day on 4th of July every year.

11-Communists won the famous Vietnam war (1955-1975). Famous heavy weight American Muslim boxer refused to join US military in Vietnam war.
12-Operation Desert Storm was launched by USA in 1991 to push the Iraqi army out of Kuwait. Kuwaiti monarchy was also restored.
13-United States of America and its allies attacked Afghanistan after September 11 attacks to o dismantle Al-Qaeda and removing Taliban from power. Al-Qaeda has been crushed but Taliban are still controlling the majority of areas in Afghanistan.
14-America invaded Iraq in 2003 for removing the Saddam Hussain from power. USA and UK did not prove later on that Iraq was preparing weapons of mass destruction. Saddam Hussain was hanged on 30th December, 2006.
15-There are 29 members of North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). It was founded at the time of signing ceremony of the North Atlantic Treaty on 4 April 1949. Its head quarters is in Brussels, Belgium. United States is the key player in this military alliance.

 

16-100$ is the highest denomination of US dollars in circulation. First US dollar was created on April 2, 1792.
17-Abraham Lincoln was 16th President of USA. He won the American civil war and unified the country. He also abolished slavery in United States. He was assassinated on 14 April, 1865.
18-Barack Obama was the 44th President of USA. He was the first black President of USA. Obama ordered military involvement in Libya and Pakistan resulted in overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi and death of Al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden.
19-Osama Bin Laden was killed in CIA led operation Neptune Spear on 2 May, 2011 at Abbottabad Pakistan.
20-George Washington was the founder and first President of America. John Adams was second and Thomas Jefferson was third President.
