Breaking News – Punjab Government Has Imposed Ban on NTS Tests For Recruitment & Admission Purpose?
We have a breaking news for you about National Testing Service. As per daily express’s report Punjab government has decided not to hire the services of National Testing Service NTS for admission and recruitment purpose n the future. Directions have been given n this regard to Higher Education Department Punjab. This decision has been taken in to ensure transparency in the processes of colleges admission and recruitment.
NTS is a private testing agency which was conducting tests for many many government departments. Poor students and job seekers were not n the position to bear the processing fee of NTS. Private academies were charging heavy fees n the names of preparation of different NTS tests. Many publishers were also selling costly books for the preparation of different admission and recruitment tests conducting by NTS whereas NTS never took any serious action against these people who were defaming it. Students and job seekers have welcomed this decision by Punjab government. We have already suggested that a testing agency in public sector should be launched just like KPK ETEA. ETEA declares the tests result within 24 hours and its performance is much better than NTS.
Remember that HEC has already not extended its agreement with NTS due to court decision. After that there was a big question mark before the legitimacy of other NTS tests. Many other influential people have also launched different testing agencies just to see the heavy profit ratio in this business. Now government should also try to improve the performance of Punjab Public Service Commission as its the constitutional duty of PPSC to conducts the recruitment tests and interviews for above grade 16 posts.
