Higher Education Commission has invited applications for HEC overseas scholarships for fall 2021/Spring 2022. Talented students of all provinces of Pakistan including AJK can now apply online for award of scholarships in the field of Engineering and Technology for Master programs leading to PhD and direct PhD degree programs. Selected students will be sent in any of the following country; Germany, Italy, Belgium, Hong Kong, Turkey, France, South Korea, China, USA and Australia. You can apply online through the link given below but it is also mandatory to send dully filled hard copy of online application form along with all above mentioned required documents till ……………………. 2021. Eligibility Criteria For HEC Overseas Scholarships 2021 Human Resource Development Initiative
MS Leading To PHD
1-Applicant must be citizen of Pakistan or AJK.
2-Applicants must have completed sixteen years of education for MS program leading to PhD.
3-Students who want to get scholarship for PhD must have completed eighteen years of education.
4- Candidates must have completed their education in the field of Engineering and Technology.
5-Candidates will also have to provide Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) or Pakistan Council For Architecture and Town Planners (PCATP) registration certificate in case they are applying for Engineering disciplines.
6-Candidate must not have got more than 2 second divisions in his/her complete academic career.
7-Student’s age must be below 35 years 0n …………. 2021. Five years upper age relaxation will be given to the full time regular faculty members of Public sector higher education institutes and employees of the government sector R&D organizations.
8-You need to get required qualification on or before …………. 2021.
9-Students who have been awarded any scholarship by Higher Education Commission other than need base scholarship can not apply.
10-It is mandatory for all candidates to get at least 50% marks in aptitude test conducted by HEC. HEC will dispatch the roll number slips to eligible candidates almost 2 weeks before the test date.

Points To Remember About HEC Scholarships For Pakistani Students
1-All HEC scholarships will be awarded on merit basis however provincial quota will be applied.
2-Result awaiting students are not eligible to apply.
3-Shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews. Interviews will be conducted by the official team of the relevant country.
4-Applicants will be short listed on the basis of their previous academic record and HEC aptitude test score.
5-The selected candidates will have to serve for at least five years in an Institution of Higher Education Commission after completion of their degree. Higher Education Commission will take a surety bond from awardees for this purpose.
6-Candidates are directed to check it either their field of subjects is offered in their preferred country/university or not.
7-Applicants will have to mention the countries/universities of their choice in order of preference in their application form, but remember that Higher Education Commission has right to re-allocate any country/university to the students.
8-Students will have to meet the requirement of visa and admission their selves.
9-Higher Education Commission can postpone and cancel the the whole process without describing any reasons.
Documents Required For HEC Scholarships
1-Attested photocopies of all academic documents (In Engineering & Technology Discipline)
2-Attested copy of domicile
3-Attested copy of CNIC
4-Statement of purpose in higher studies in one page(300 words)
5-Copy of PEC/PCATP registration
6-Curriculum Vitae.
7-Research proposal, abstract (Candidates having 18 years of education)
8-Original deposit slip/DD/ATM transfer of Rs.300/- in favor of DG Finance, Higher Education Commission, H-9, Islamabad in account number 1742-79001334-1, HBL as non refundable application processing fee.
10-In service candidates can only apply through their mother department along with NOC. Applications can be accepted without NOC, but it is mandatory to submit NOC with in closing date.
