HEC Scholarships For PHD Students University of Cambridge Fall 2024

Higher Education Commission has invited applications from outstanding students of Pakistan for the award of PHD scholarships. Higher Education Commission and Cambridge Commonwealth Trust for the University of Cambridge, UK are jointly funding for these HEC scholarships 2023. These HEC scholarships will be delivered for the fall session 2024.

 

 

Eligibility Criteria for HEC Foreign Scholarships 2024

1-Only Pakistani national candidates can apply for these HEC scholarships 2024.

2-Candidates with minimum 16 years of education are eligible for these HEC scholarships.

3-Candidates must have maximum 2 second divisions in their educational career.

4-Maximum age limit on Friday _________ 2024 is forty years for faculty members of Public sector higher education institutes and 35 years for all other candidates.

5-Candidates must have at least cumulative fifty percent academic marks as per Higher Education Commission Academic Evaluation Formula. Education Commission Academic Evaluation Formula is available at the official website of Higher Education Commission.

6-Only those candidates are eligible who have secured admission into a PhD program in the University of Cambridge for fall 2024 session. Admission in Master program will only then be considered if it is mandatory for the PhD.

7- You can not apply for this HEC scholarship if you are availing any other scholarship.

 

 

Procedure For HEC Scholarships

Applicants will have to submit following documents along with the application form;

1-Copy of confirmed admission letter for PhD or Master’s Leading to PhD issued by Cambridge University.
2-Attested copies of all educational certificates, domicile and CNIC
3-CV
4-Statement of purpose in maximum 500 words. (Very Important)
5-Research Proposal  (Very Important)
6-Original online deposit slip of Rs.200/-(non-refundable) in favor of DG Finance,HEC, Sector H-9, Islamabad on A/C #0112-00500119-01, HBL Abpara Branch Islamabad as processing fee.

 

 

Points to Remember

All the HEC scholarships 2024 will be awarded on open merit. Those applicants will be preferred who will have got direct admission in PhD rather than Master program leading to PhD. Higher Education Commission will provide funding maximum for four years. Successful applicants will have to serve Pakistan for five years after the completion of the PhD. For this purpose awardees will have to execute a bond with the HEC. Incomplete and applications received after the due date will not be considered. Government employees can apply through their departments only. Higher Education Commission will not entertain the by hand applications.
