1-First of all try to avoid buying plot or house in a new housing society or scheme. You may get more profit by buying a house or plot in a settled colony. Otherwise buy a plot in a housing scheme by a reputed company. See the past record of the builder or marketing company first as Star marketing was in fact VIP marketing few years before, but due to its bad repute it has changed its name just to deceive the people with a new name. 2-Then check that either the housing society is registered with SECP or Housing Society Cooperative Department. If the answer is no then avoid such schemes.
3-Check that either the concerned land has been transferred in the name of society or not? If the answer is no then again avid such societies.
4-Verify that the housing scheme/society has either got the approval as per the map from the local development authority (Like FDA/GDA/LDA/TMA) or not. Approval should be as per the map shown to you by housing scheme/society.
5-You must personally visit the housing scheme for viewing the stage of development in the society like roads, gas, electricity, roads and sewerage system.
6-Read the documents carefully before taking paying money for booking in any housing scheme.
