History About Islamia University Bahawalpur
For the information, this university began and started its educational operations as Jamia Abbasia. It was a religious university that was established in Bahawalpur in the year 1925. Then in year 1975, this university of Jamia Abbasia was later on declared as a form of general university. It was then named as The Islamia University of Bahawalpur.
Facilities at Islamia University Bahawalpur
Initially this university had ten departments. After sometime, about 1280 acres of land was given to this university right on Hasilpur Road. This university further added 2 more campuses in the year 2005. One campus is called as IUM Bahawalnagar campus and other one is called as IUB Rahim Yar Khan campus. They have currently 45 departments and these department are offering and providing 74 disciplines. In year 2015, this university had been ranked on 8th spot among general category universities by HEC.
