Javed Chaudhary wrote a beautiful column about Geo News and Power of Fatwa in Daily Express 18-5-2014. We can describe the main theme of his column in three word i.e might is right or tit for tat. According to Javed Chaudhry Geo News was the strongest media group in Pakistan. It was so strong that even governments were unable to check its irregularities. But now an just a Fatwa proved to be more powerful than geo news.
Geo was so arrogant that Malik Riaz chairman Bahria town tried for patch up between Geo News and I.S.I but Mir Shakeel ur Rehman refused to accept this offer by Malik Riaz. Now Geo is in hot waters as some thing more powerful than Geo New, has defeated it, and that mighty force is Fatwa, which is so powerful thing that Sulman Rushidi can not move freely due to Fatwa of Amam Khumaini.
Javed Chaudhry writes “Geo news set very wrong examples in media. It made fun of elected Prime Miniters in its comedy talk shows. It started vulgar morning shows just for the sake of making money. Dr Shaista Wahdi promoted vulgarity in its program and now she and Geo news are in the line of fire.”
Geo News did not forgive any one at the time of it peak and now no one is ready to forgive Geo News. Javed Chaudhry wrote that Geo and Shakeel ur Rehman are no ready to pay any thing in compensation to save themselves from the effects of Fatwa. In fact Geo is harvesting what it had sown. Even Ansar Abbasi can not understand that is Geo News is under trail or divine punishment. Dr Amir Liaqat Hussain begged pardon from the Uhad ground but the second party is not ready to compromise. Now only Almighty Allah can save Geo News. Its administration should beg pardon from Allah and try to change its policies in future otherwise their titanic is near to sink.
