Pildat has invited expression of interest for membership of Youth Parliament Pakistan. Piladt introduced the idea of Youth Parliament in Pakistan in 2007 to train and educate the youth of Pakistan for practical politics. Being the of member of youth parliament Pakistan you can convey your ideas to government and media.

Salient Features of Youth Parliament Pakistan (YPP)

1- House is consists of 60 members.
2-Every year a new house is selected.
3-Five sessions are held in a year and its sessions continue for five days. Youth parliament meets for minimum 25 days in its tenure of one year.
4-Females, minorities and rural populations are also given presentation in proportion roughly equal to national assembly.

Eligibility Criteria

Only Pakistani citizens or overseas Pakistani are eligible to apply for membership.
Applicants must be between 18 to 29 years of age.
Applicants must have good command over Urdu and English Languages.
Applicants must not have any kind of criminal record within and outside the country.
Candidates should posses good writing and speaking skills.
Government employees will have to submit no objection certificate from their concern department.
Leadership qualities

Interested candidates can submit their expression of interest at www.youthparliament.pk or send it by post to PO BOX 278 Postal Code 44220 F8 Islamabad. This year last date for submission of expression of interest is 0th June, 2024. Short listed candidates will be called for interview and an independent steering committee will conduct the interviews for final selection.

Important Points

Membership is 100% free.
No stipend will be given to members of youth parliament while youth parliament secretariat will bear the travel, food and accommodation expenditures of members of YPP during the sessions.
Overseas Pakistani can also apply for membership of youth parliament Pakistan for one session only.
Sessions will be held in Islamabad.
Only five days leave will be allowed to members during the whole year.
Youth parliament Pakistan will follow the procedure of national assembly.
