NTS is going to conduct written examination on the behalf of The Islamabad High Court, Islamabad for the posts of judicial officers (Civil Judges-cum-Judicial Magistrates). Male and female candidates both can apply for these posts. All the posts are of 18 grade. 14 judicial officer posts have been reserved for candidates having the domicile of Islamabad. While 4, 2 and 1 post will be filled from Punjab, Sindh and Baluchistan respectively.
Eligibility
Eligibility of candidates will be decided according to rules laid down in Islamabad Judicial services rules 2011. Practicing advocates between 21 to 35 years can apply for these posts through NTS. Age limit will be the same for government servants and no age relaxation will be given.
Practicing lawyer with minimum bachelor degree in law and 2 years experience can apply for the posts of Civil Judges-cum-Judicial Magistrates. Government officers serving in legal department of any statutory organization for more than three years can also apply for the posts of Civil Judges-cum-Judicial Magistrates. Candidates will have to submit an affidavit as a proof of his active practice.
Candidates will have to furnished character certificate from the President of their respective bars, countersigned by District & Session Judge concerned. Candidates will also annex two character certificates from respectable citizens. If candidate is practicing in High Court, he will submit character certificate issue by registrar and civil servants will submit character certificate issued by their head of department. Candidates with higher education and experience may also apply.
Disqualification
Candidates will be disqualified for the judicial officer posts in case of
1-Furishing false information
2-Concealing information
3-Submitting forged documents
4-Tempering the documents
5-Misbehaving in the interview
NTS will charge 2500 application fee fro each candidate. You can down load the application forms and online deposit slips from the official website of Islamabad High Court, Islamabad and NTS.
Last date for submission of forms is 17-04-2014. Test for the Judicial officer posts in Islamabad will be held on 16th, 17th and 18th May, 2014.
