Revised Exam Policy and Schedule For 5th & 8th Class Board Examinations 2020
Education department Punjab has announced the new registration & examination policy for 5th & 8th class board exams 2020. As per media news Executive District Officer (EDO Education) will be responsible for the bad results. Punjab Examination Commission (PEC) will just monitor the 5th and 8th class examinations and issue the funds. Registration & examination policy for 5th & 8th class board exams 2020 has been changed due to poor performance of PEC that’s why now Executive District Officers (EDO Education) will be responsible for paper setting and conducting the 5th and 8th class exams 2020.
Cluster centers will be responsible for providing the staff to conduct the examinations. 1400 cluster centers have been established for this purpose. Cluster centers are being established in high schools. A cluster center will deal with primary, middle and private schools of its 10 to 12 adjacent union councils. Cluster centers will provide and receive admission forms and dispatch result to candidates. In past PEC was responsible for paper setting and publishing but due to charges of paper out now this responsibility has been taken back from PEC.
Schedule for 5th & 8th class PEC exams 2020 has been announced. As per media sources 5th and 8th class exams will start from the first week of February i.e 3rd Feb. It is expected that two papers will be taken daily in 2 shifts. Online registration facility will be provided and a new software is being developed for this purpose. 1400 cluster centers have been established in 36 districts of Punjab for distributing question papers.
