Orange Line Metro Train Lahore has been inaugurated by Punjab government. Lahore has become the first Pakistani city which has the facility of Metri Train. Originally it was the brain child of Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. This project was constructed under CPEC with the funds given by Chinese government. Total route of the Metro train Lahore is about 27 KM out of which 1.7 KM is underground and 24.3 Km is elevated. Train route will start from Ali Town and end at Daira Gujran. One way fare will be just 40 rupees. Orange line metro train will cover the 27 KM distance in just 45 minutes. At MAO College Stations passengers will be able to ride on metro bus Lahore.

Separate seats have been reserved for females, special persons and senior citizens. Stations have been constructed at each one Kilometre. How To Buy Ticket or Card of Orange Line Metro Train Lahore

Route of Orange Line Metro Train has been given below in the Urdu language. At present total 27 trains are functional from 25 October, 2020 for general public. Train will stay for just 25 seconds at each station. This train is really a blessing for citizens of Lahore specially who live on Multan road. Passengers will be able to recharge their cards on computerized machines using currency notes and even coins. You may buy six tickets at a time through these machines. You will also get a paper receipt at the time of buying tickets.

 

 

Eights machines have have been installed on each entrance point and 4 machines at the each exit point. Instructions have been written both in Urdu and English language near these machines for getting tickets. Remember that you may also buy the tickets manually from the counters. Cards will also be available on these counters. Train will start its voyage at 6 AM and the time of the last train will be 8 PM. Speed of the train will be 35 KM/Hour.

 

 

Facilities & Salient Features of Metro Train Lahore

 

After swiping the card or token you will be able to enter in the metro train station. All trains are completely automatic. Doors have special sensors for operating them automatically. Computerized information screens have also been installed in the stations for guiding the passengers about charging the cards and using the orange line metro train. Construction is of international standard. Trains are monitored through control room. CCTV cameras, fire extinguishers alarms and walk through gates have also been installed for security purpose.

 

 

Announcement will be made on arrival of each train at station. Soon time will be extended till 10 PM. There will be five bogies in each train. Each train will carry about 1000 passengers at a time. Almost 2.5 lac passengers will travel on this orange line metro train daily. Passengers are directed to follow the corona SEPOs. You also need your ticket or card for coming out from Metro Train station. Passengers can save their one hour by travelling on this orange line train Lahore.

 

 

Six persons can sit on each sofa. Handles are available for standing passengers. In case of any emergency you may contact control room through passenger emergency control unit which have been installed in all bogies. Alarms have also been installed. Anarkali stations is the largest and most beautiful station or orange line train which has been constructed in Mughal style. When train start from any station, announcement is made about upcoming station in a very clear voice.

 

 

Special arrangements have been made for security purpose. Special screens in the train also show the security measures in case of emergency for passengers to follow.
