Government College University Lahore has started their PHEC split PhD scholarship program for year 2022. This is the joint program which is started by GCU Lahore and Punjab Higher Education Commission. This program is opened for teaching faculty who are serving in public sector colleges and too in public sector universities. Teaching faculty of social sciences, arts and also humanities are eligible to apply for this split-side PhD scholarship program. 6 fully funded scholarships are available and this scholarship will be covering their monthly stipend and their tuition fees of 2 years at GCU Lahore and one year tuition fee which candidates will complete at their partner foreign university. This scholarship will also cover their expenses linked with research, medical allowance and research grants will be given to candidates as well.

 

 

Application Process to Apply for PHEC Split PhD Scholarship Program 2022
00th Sept 2022 is the last date to apply.
You should contact with your concerned department and get the consent and permission of your supervisor.
Admission forms are available from Habib bank Limited GCU Lahore branch. Submit and pay Rs 500 as your processing fees to the bank.
You can check this website, www.gcu.edu.pk and download your admission forms from this website.
If you are downloading form from the website then you should submit Rs 550 to the bank.
Along with application form, you should attach all of you academic certificates, NoC no objection certificate from some competent authority and also a research proposal. Submit these documents and form to the additional registrar academics department.

 

 

Eligibility Information For PHEC Split PhD Scholarship Program 2022
You should be a regular faculty member of any public sector university or college. You should have a domicile of Punjab.
You should have 2 years of working and teaching experience as a regular faculty member.
To get this split-side PhD scholarship, your age should be less than 45 years.
You should have completed your 18 years of education. MS, MPHIl degree is a must.
You should have done your research work upto minimum 6 credit hours during your MS or MPHIL studies.
In case of semester system, you should have 3.00 CGPA out of 4.00 CGPA.
In case of annual system, you should have 1st division in your MS or MPHIL degree.
You should be submitting strong and authentic research proposal linked with the relevant field of yours. In that research proposal, there should be detailed and explained sections of your stated arguments, methodology and survey of literature Your research proposal should also include strong research questions, valid proposed chapters and too details of theoretical engagement.

 

 

Details About Selection Criteria For PHEC Split PhD Scholarship Program 2022
Departmental admission committee will be taking the interview of candidates. They will then recommend and suggest names of certain candidates to joint PhD scholarship committee so that they can consider these candidates for further shortlisting.
This joint PhD scholarship committee will submit the list of further shortlisted candidates to PHEC. Punjab Higher Education Commission will make final selection of candidates for PHEC Split Scholarship program.
