Federal government is going to launch “Apna Ghar Scheme” soon. Half a million 50000 low cost houses will be constructed under this project. The aim of this project is to provide low cost houses to low income people of the country. These houses will be provided on easy and comfortable installments. Ministry for housing and works will monitor this project.

Details and eligibility criteria will be announced after the final approval by cabinet and Prime Minister. After approval ads will be published in all national newspapers. Blue print of the scheme is ready and Ministry of housing and works has given briefing to Madam Maryam Nawaz Sharif and PM. It has been decided that 1000 housing colonies will be constructed in different cities of Pakistan and each colony will consist of 500 houses. In Lahore it is expected that colonies will be constructed in Ferozpur road and Shahdara. First phase of the scheme will be completed in one and half year.
