Sasta Aata – Ghee Scheme of KPK Government For Deserving People
Government of KPK has launched sasta ataa-ghee program. Its the first program in Pakistan which has been designed to serve the people living below the poverty line. In fact these are the people who are suffering due to inflation poverty and unemployment. More than 5 million people will get benefit through this program. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was first leader of Pakistan who addressed the grievances of this under privileged class of Pakistan. Now Imran Khan has launched this scheme for most neglected class of our society. We think that there is a need of launching such schemes in other provinces of Pakistan to facilitate the people of lesser god. Salient Features of Sasta Aata – Ghee Scheme
1-Deserving people have been selected through a transparent mechanism.
2-Each individual can get 5kg ghee and 50 kg flour at subsidized prices through 3 vouchers from utility stores.
3-Verification of deserving people has made very easy at utility stores through CNIC
4-After transparent and easy verification flour is given 10 rupees lower per kg while ghee is given at 40 rupees lower per kg than the normal utility store’s prices to the most deserving people of KPK province.
5-Selection of deserving people has been made through a computerized system and they have been informed via courier about their selection for sasta aata-ghee package of KPK government.
6-People living below the poverty line have received discount vouchers through courier. Now they just need to present their insaf discount vouchers and CNIC at their nearest utility store for getting instant discount.
