Breaking News – Beware of Another Diploma Mill – Islamic University of Pakistan Sialkot Scandal
After axact scandal daily Jang has published details about another diploma mill in Sialkot. Islamic University of Pakistan is situated in Sialkot and it is not affiliated with Higher Education Commission (HEC). This fake university is openly selling diplomas and degrees. Islamic University of Pakistan is even selling Matriculation certificates. University has sold unlimited Matriculation certificates to its students. Many students have appeared in HSSC exam on the basis of their fake matriculation certificate issued by Islamic University of Pakistan. One female student have even cleared the HSSC exam.
As per media reports University is selling degrees in just 10000 to 25000 rupees. Many students have got the Matriculation certificate in science too. Daily Jang has also published the names of the students who have bought fake degrees from this diploma mill. Spokesperson of IUP has claimed that university was registered with university grants commission. Whereas Higher Education Commission has made it clear that no university except AIOU has charter to take the matriculation exam. IUP has no right to issue matriculation certificates . Board of intermediate and secondary education has written letters to HEC and Higher Education Department Punjab about the students who have appeared in SSC exam on the basis of SSC certificates issued by IUP.
Board is also going to declare all these students ineligible. Higher Education Commission should take strict action against all the unaccredited universities. Its not enough to just publish the names of unauthorized universities on website of HEC, Fake AIOU is also still operating. HEC should register FIR against such scammers.
