Shalimar Medical & Dental College (SMDC) Lahore MBBS Admission Schedule 2023-24
Shalamar Medical & Dental College Lahore has announced admission in MBBS. Applications will be received till 0-12-2023. First merit list will be displayed on 0-12-2023. Classes will commence from 0-02-2024. Shalamar Medical & Dental College is a project of Businessmen Hospital Trust. It is registered by PM & DC, approved by Federal Ministry of Health, govt of Pakistan and recognized by College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP). College is also included in the WHO Avicenna Directory of Medical Colleges and International Medical Education Directory (FAIMER). SMDC has launched financial assistance program for its students and it also provides limited number of scholarships amounting to 100% of tuition fee to the outstanding & brilliant students from all over the Pakistan.

Shalamar Medical & Dental College is attached with 400 bedded Shalamar Hospital and Fauji Foundation Hospital. Both these hospitals are approved by PM &DC for house job training. Fully furnished hostels are available both for male and female students. SMDC is the third project of BHT Lahore. First project of BHT was Shalamar Hospital, which was built in 1982 and second was Shalamar Nursing College which was founded in 2006. SMDC has a purpose built centrally air conditioned campus with Wi-Fi connectivity and state of the art facilities like well stocked library, departmental museums and labs, IT lab etc. Campus is situated in the heart of historic city of Lahore near famous Shalimar garden.

Eligibility For Admission in MBBS
Local Students
The applicant must have passed the F.Sc. (Pre-Medical Group) exam from a recognized Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education in country with minimum 60% unadjusted marks i.e (660/1100).
Foreign / Expatriate / Overseas Applicants
Candidate must have passed any other examination of a foreign university (with 60% unadjusted marks)equivalent to the F.Sc Pre-Medical of a Pakistan but applicant will also have to submit equivalence certificate issued by IBCC Islamabad. It is also mandatory for foreign students to pass Biology and Chemistry papers in their equivalent exams.
Entrance Test Requirement:
The applicant (Local & Foreign student) must have appeared in the current year MCAT test of the UHS Lahore. Entry test conducted by Central Government or any other Provincial entry test is also acceptable. OR
An applicant who has cleared SAT-II (Just for foreign student) exam with a minimum score of 550 in each of the 3 subjects (Chemistry, Biology & any other third subject like Mathematics or Physics) or MCAT with minimum aggregate score of 24 is also eligible to apply for admission. Remember that SAT II and MCAT score remain valid only for 2 years.
Prospectus & Form Download
Prospectus is available from SMDC campus by paying 4000 rupees in cash. If you want to get it via post then you will have to pay 300rupees extra i.e Rs.2300 in form of bank draft or pay order. Application processing fee for all candidates is 4000 rupees.
