Chairman PTA Dr Ismail Shah has announced that Pakistan Telecommuting Authority has decided to extend the SIM verification date. Second phase of SIM verification will start from today. Exact deadline date has not been announced but it is expected that second phase will continue for 2 to 3 weeks. In second phase SMS will be sent to unverified SIMS. A person will have to verify his SIM immediately after receiving SMS. Some of our sources are claiming that SIMs will not be blocked till 13 April but we do not recommend you at all to delay your PTA SIM verification any more. Overseas Pakistanis will be given more extra time. PTA has blocked more than 10 million SIMS till now. Those who have less than 3 SIMS can verify their SIMs till 13th April, 2015. After that all unverified SIMS will be blocked without any notice. After biometric verification a blocked SIM can be unblocked. Till now about 75 million SIMS have been verified. How To Check The SIM Verification Status For Free
1-Telenor customer can view the status of his number by sending his CNIC number without Dashes to 7751.
2-Mobilink Jazz customers can send his CNIC # without Dashes to 6001 for knowing the current status of his Jazz number.
3-Warid customers are directed to send their national identity card number to 789 from their Warid SIMs for viewing the verification data of their Warid SIM card.
4-Ufone customers will have to dial *336*1# from their Ufone SIM.
5-Zong customer can also know about verification status of his number by dialing *6622#.
All above mentioned services are free but you can use them from the SIM of that specific company only.
How To Know The Owner Name of Any SIM
Write MNP in message and send it to 667. You will receive the details about the owner name of that particular number e.g SCNIC number, name of owner, activation date, connection type and IMSI #. Do not share this information with any one.
