Method Through SMS to Verify the Status of Your Mobile Phone
First we will talk about this SMS method, the person can dial *#06# and in this way, he will know and be able to receive the IMEI number of his device. This is the first step of this process and it should be completed. If you does not know the IMEI number, then you cannot move to the second step which is about knowing the status of your mobile device.
Then in the second step, you will send the IMEI number to 8484. Just by sending this text, you will get the message that whether this specific phone of yours is PTA compliant phone or not. It is through this site www.dirbs.pta.gov.pk that you can receive more information.
Method Through APP to Verify the Status of Your Mobile Phone
You can download the DIRBS app through the Google playstore and complete this verification process easily. Both of the methods follow the same number of steps and criteria. This approval process should be completed on or before the date of 20th Oct 2018.
By completing this phase, you will get the quick response that whether your IMEI number is registered or not. When your mobile device and phone will get included in the compliant category, then you can use your phone legally and freely.
For all non compliant phones, they will shut down as soon as possible. If the person wants to buy a new phone afterwards or in the future time, then he has to catch up with this same process.
