Warid is Going to Launch 4G LTE Service in September 2014
Finally Warid has broken its silence about 4G LTE service. Company is going to launch 4G LTE service in September this year. Warid has sent letters, emails and SMS to its customers about the launch of 4G LTE service. Warid did not take part in 3G licenses bid but later on company claimed that it has neutral technology licenses which allow it to launch 4G LTE service with its existing license. About 2 months ago Warid published ads in all national newspapers about the launch of 4G LTE service but after that there was a mysterious silence on the part of the company.
In fact PTA was not allowing Warid to launch this new service due to the heavy investment of Zong for getting 4G license. But now its seems that when company announced to invest 400 million dollars in Pakistan for the launch of 4G network, the matter has been resolved between the PTA and Warid. That’s why company has made this announcement. Warid is upgrading its network with the cooperation of Ericsson. LTE service will be initially started in Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad in September, 2014. For using this service you must have 4G enabled phone and you will also have to buy a new Warid sim.
As per media reports existing Warid sims will not support 4G LTE service. Warid will soon announce the 4G LTE packages and it is also expected that company will provide free service for some time like other mobile phone service provider companies. Now Zong will have to also start its 4G soon other wise Warid will capture the whole market. Dear Zong now you can not compete the Warid with just Super 3G. Customers can not wait for you, as they do not take time in saying good bye to out dated technology and migrating to latest service in the market, so you will have to take the initiative first than any other company for your survival in the market.
