Pakistan Medical and Dental Council Announces the MDCAT Entry Test Schedule 2024
Medical college admission test schedule 2024 has been announced by the admission board of the Punjab government and PMDC. According to media reports this year MDCAT entry test will be conducted on 00 of August, 2024.
Admission board of the Punjab government decided to take the MDCAT entry test for the session 2024-25 on Sunday, 00-08-2024. Traditionally the MDCAT entry test in Punjab was being conducted in the last week of September, but the private medical colleges were taking undue benefit from this. Private medical and dental colleges started the admission before the display of merit list by PMDC and many students with higher marks were taking admission in these private colleges due to their uncertain future and after getting admission in public colleges they were not refunded their fees.
To check such malpractices of private colleges, PMC has decided to take the MDCAT entry test 2024 in the month of August. Merit list will be displayed in September.

1-Dates for submission of applications and receiving entry test kits- 00 July to 00 July, 2024 From 9 AM to 4 PM
2-Entry Test 00-08-2024 at 10 AM
Important Instructions for PMDC Lahore MDCAT Entry Test 2024
As per PMDC rules, following weight-age formula will be implemented for admission in medical and dental colleges.
Marks in Matriculation or equivalent-10 percent
Marks in FSc pre engineering or equivalent- 40 Percent
Marks in MDCAT entry test-50 percent
Good News For FSc Pre Medical Students
Some members of board rightly raised the objection in meeting that 40 percent weight-age to FSc pre medical marks is quite unfair as FSc pre medical is full-fledged exams as compare to MDCAT, which is a short MCQ type test of just 150 minutes. Board decided to take up this matter of vital importance with the authorities of PMDC. Admission board of the Punjab government is also considering seriously to declare the Sialkot as the center of MCAT from this year.
MDCAT ENTRY TEST FEE 2024
The MDCAT entry test fee will remain the same i.e 1300 rupees only. Punjab government is taking very reasonable MDCAT entry test fee as compared to other provinces. Balochistan, KPK and Sindh governments are taking Rs.3500,1500 and 1900 respectively. Board also took a students friendly decision about not to increasing the tuition fees of public medical and dental colleges this year. So students this year you will be given one month less for preparation of entrance exams. So it is highly recommended that you should not waste your time after the FSc pre engineering exams. Why not, Hope certificate is issued by the Principal of your last educational institute. In hope certificate Principal shows hope that you will get required marks in the exams.
