Eligibility Criteria & Exemptions
You may get admission in CIMA course after matric, inter, graduation and master. ACCA, ACMA and MBA degree holders will get exemption in eleven papers of CIMA certification. They will enroll in the last stage of CIMA course i.e strategic level. I.Com passesd students can enroll direct in 2nd level of CIMA course. Exemptions are also available to other higher degree holders as per rules of CIMA.
Subjects Taught in CIMA
There will be total fourteen papers and three case studies in the CIMA course. You will also have to get three years of practical experience in the field before getting the CIMA certification.
In the first level of CIMA course which is known as “Certificate in Business Accounting, you will study fundamentals of business economics, fundamentals of management accounting, fundamentals of financial accounting and fundamentals of ethics, corporate governance and business law. In the second stage of operational level you will be taught organizational management, management accounting and financial reporting & taxation. In the third part of management level you will study project and relationship management, advanced management accounting and advanced financial reporting. In the last and most vital part of strategic level you will be taught strategic management, risk management and financial strategy. Integrated case study will be the part of last three levels.

Points To Remember About CIMA Exam
CIMA offers very flexible exam schedule as here you will have to appear in CBA. CBA means computer based assessment. For each paper you will have to 2 clear 2 hours CBA. You may begin CIMA any time in the year without any problem. You can attempt the papers in any part of the year. There is no closing date for registration for exams. Case study exams are conducted in the 2nd, 5th, 8th and eleventh months of each year. Papers are organized the CIMA body Great Britain. Large number of education institutions around the globe are offering coaching classes of CIMA. Registration with the CIMA GB will be required for attempting the papers. You may chose the local institute of your choice for getting tuition classes. At CIMA you will have to pay one time registration fee, annual subscription fee and exam fee which is received per paper.
